Daytona Beach, Fl.
November 21,2016
Good Day,
I hope this letter finds you and yours well. Things here are well after Hurricane
Matthew paid a visit. We have made several corrections and some improvements
to our pool, beach stairs, parking lot, outside lighting and a few internal water
issues and electrical issues. We have correctly notified our insurer of the events so
if we need to file a claim in the near future we are positioned to do so. Although
there was several external areas affected we will not meet our deductable for
insurance assistance. Currently we are in line to repair some other areas affected
but would like to take this time to assure you that the board feels quite confident
that we will not need to burden the owners with any assessments unlike other
buildings on our beach.
Please make sure you or a family member check the interior of your unit to make
sure all is well. Although we assisted many owners in preparation remember
ultimately the interior of your units is your responsibility. If you need us to check
in on your units please don't hesitate to contact us. Remember all contractors are
3-5 weeks out for repairs at this time.
Our pool had many issues due to the rising waters that breached our sea wall. Not
only was the pool itself effected but the upper deck, pool room and railing system.
We hope to have the pumps replaced and the newly resurfaced pool open for
Thanksgiving.
Wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving!
Richard Merlino
